Title: Chinese New Year Celebration at St. Francis' Institution. Post by: Webmaster on February 11, 2006, 07:56:23 PM Chinese New Year Celebration was held at St. Francis' Institution on the 10th February 2006. It was a grand celebration as Datuk Wira Gan Boon Leong and 'Nanyang Press' reporters were there. The celebration began with the arrival of Datuk Wira Gan Boon Leong accompanied by the lion dance and kompang performance.

This continued with the marching of the uniform units and the performance of our school band. The next performance was by our school 24 Season Drum. Our school choir also performed on that day. There were also other performance done by the students either solo or as a group. The Japanese students that came to our school by the 'Student Exchange Program' also performed their dance. After the events, there was a feast for Datuk Wira Gan Boon Leong, all the teachers and our visitors from Japan. The school dismissed at 11:15 am.
