newspaper report including sfi ... lucky for them, can sleep! ______________________________________________________ Summarized extract from The Star, 14 September 2006: Afternoon session for 13 Malacca secondary schools
MALACCA: Despite objections from many parents and teachers, afternoon sessions will be begin in 13 secondary schools in the state to ease overcrowding.
All Remove and Form One classes in the 13 schools will be held during the afternoon session starting January 2007. Form Two classes in these schools may also be in the afternoon in 2008, if the number of students keeps increasing.
The schools are SMK Gajah Berang, SMK Infant Jesus Convent, SMK Notre Dame, SMK St Francis, SMK Yok Bin, SMK Munshi Abdullah, SMK Seri Tanjung, SMK St David, SMK Tun Haji Abdul Malek, SMK Tun Mutahir, SMK Malim, SMK Bukit Katil and SMK Bukit Rambai.
State education director Azizah Abdul Gani said yesterday the Education Ministry had approved the state’s application for afternoon sessions without delay as the schools were considered “critically cramped.”
“Having an afternoon session is the best solution to the congestion problem. We hope all the affected parents and teachers will get ready for the change,” she said yesterday.
Some of the affected schools were opposed to the afternoon session, saying it was difficult to reorganise staff to man both sessions.
Azizah said she had briefed principals and headmasters of 84 secondary and primary schools in the Melaka Tengah district regarding the afternoon sessions.
“The principals will meet the parents soon to explain the operation of the afternoon session,” she said.
Some classes with too many students had to be divided into two and this has created a floating class problem where students had to move to different classes that were free for the hour, Azizah said.
“It not only affects normal class operations, it is also difficult for the school to ensure discipline,” she said.___________________________________________________

Do you think chinese school boys are stupid or you don't respect them.Trust me if you ask any teacher in this school, they will all agree that chinese school boys are more obedient. cos they are the outstanding ones with better behaviour than the rest.
im sorry i have to say this but from what i have observed, you can easily judge whether a student is from SFI primary or from a chinese school. to me, it is easy to judge. based on the part of speech, attitude wise and so on.
, not many chinese school boys managed to impress me with their behaviour. so i wouldn't find it weird they dun get the counsellor posts. I as a fair person think you have gone over the line.......and please stop the insults. If you want war, will give you one!
